No. Land north of the city was set aside for an airport in 1972, but it was never built, and in 2025 the federal government said the land would go to Parks Canada instead. Pickering travellers fly from Toronto, and the right airport depends on the trip.
How we route your trip
Pickering stretches from Lake Ontario up past the Oak Ridges Moraine. The road we take to Toronto depends on which half of the city you live in.
Most of the city's homes and businesses sit south of the 401. We join it at Liverpool, Brock or Whites Road and head straight to the airport or downtown.
North of Taunton Road, the 407 is often the faster way west. If your trip uses it, the toll is added to your fare.
